The Samsung Galaxy M51 is one of the phones I consider worthwhile looking at, for those who’ll like to get a new phone at any time soon and i will be discussing about its price in Nigeria and specs here.
The device is a nicely-designed product, considering the shape, the curves, the glass, the frame, the colours, and the way it felt in my hand.
It is further not only beautiful but also pretty powerful. It comes with a nice Qualcomm chipset featuring Kryo 470 Silver and Kryo 470 Gold cores.

In terms of design, Galaxy M51 is a truly remarkable device. During my time checking out the product, I handled it over to a couple of people, just to hear what they’ll have to say about the phone.
And the responses I got are similar to how I feel about the device — it is awesome. In other words, it doesn’t really matter if you’re hard to impress, you should like M51.
Starting with size, the M51 is a pretty large phone. It features a 6.70-inch display, so you can imagine it to be a bit larger than most mid-range devices out there. But unlike some products which are senselessly large, the largeness of the M51 is pretty cool.
Furthermore, the materials used to protect the device are all nice. The front of the phone is protected with a premium Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which is of course scratch-resistant.
The rear side of the device doesn’t feature a glass, but I doubt you’ll be disappointed about the plastic material used. I’ll also like to state that the frame of the phone is also made from a high-quality plastic material.
And with the front camera design of the M51 being a centred punch-hole design, haters of the water-drop design should have no problem with the front camera design of this product.
The Galaxy M51 is powered by hardware I’ve seen in a good number of other Samsung products. These hardwares are all cool components, and they didn’t fail to perform up to expectation, while testing the performance of the phone.
Starting with the chipset of the device, the M51 is powered by a chipset known as the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730. This chipset is not Qualcomm’s most impressive chipset, but it is still awesome.
The chipset features an octa-core processor, as stated above. Two of the processor’s cores are Kryo 470 Gold cores rated at 2.20 GHz. These two cores are of course also the main cores of the chipset.
And because the cores were created with an 8 nm process, the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 consumes a lesser amount of power, compared to many other chipsets in the same category.
As for the other six cores of the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730’s processor, they are Kryo 470 Silver cores rated at 1.80 GHz.
When there’s some heavy-duty at hand, these six other cores get activated.
The GPU which handles the graphics processing of the M51 is a GPU known as the Adreno 618 GPU. The graphics processor is a pretty popular one.
And with the few games I played on the M51, the Adreno 618 proves you have nothing to worry about, as regards the graphics processing of the phone.
The GPU proved it is capable of handling the kind of graphics processing expected from a phone of its kind. So you truly have nothing to worry about, in this aspect.
When trying to buy a build of the M51, you won’t need to decide on how much RAM you want, as the device comes with only 6 GB of RAM.
The front of the M51 is equipped with a 6.70-inch display belonging to the Super AMOLED family. The display is of very high quality, so expect it to be more impressive than some of those Super AMOLED displays we see around.
If you have ever used a good number of Samsung products or experienced a good number of them, you must have noticed they all come with nice displays. And if you’re also expecting a nice display from the Galaxy M51, you won’t be disappointed.
And thanks to the display’s resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels, the device’s display is left with a pixel density of about 385 pixels per inch (PPI).
You should have seen a phone with a pixel density as high as this, so I don’t think there’s any point trying to explain how cool a pixel density of this value can be.
The brightness of the M51’s display is also nothing you have to worry about. Using the phone under a bright sunlight is one of those things I did with the phone, and I had absolutely no problem seeing the display clearly.
The operating system which powers the M51 is, of course, the Android 10 operating system. This OS is the latest Android version — a version loaded with a lot of features you’ll appreciate.
However, you should note that the phone’s OS is not the stock Android 10. The M51 rather runs a custom version of the Android 10 known as the One UI 2.0 OS.
The One UI 2.0 is an OS some people prefer over the stock Android 10, and there are also people who prefer the stock Android 10 over it.
But regardless of which these people prefer, they all agree on the One UI 2.0 being nice. In other words, if you’re not a fan of custom Androids, because they often suck, I doubt you’ll have anything to complain about, when it comes to the One UI 2.0.
There is something else further worthwhile of stating, the M51 is one of those Samsung products that will get OS updates for the upgrade from the Android 10 to the Android 11.
In other words, if you’ve been thinking of waiting to get a new phone until after the release of the Android 11, you probably don’t need to wait anymore.
While the Galaxy M51 was still just a rumour, I predicted if this phone ever gets released, it will come with 128 GB of internal storage, and this is exactly the capacity of the phone’s internal storage.
The phone features a UFS 2.1 storage device having a capacity of 128 GB. And, for the average person this product was designed for, a storage of this capacity should be enough.
However, if the need for storage expansion comes up, you should have no problem with that, as the M51 comes with support for this.
Samsung Bright S5KGW1 is an ISOCELL lens having a resolution of 64 megapixels. Thanks to this lens, the phone can take amazing pictures and also record 4K videos.
The second rear camera of the phone is a 12 MP camera. This lens is also enhanced, and its job is to assist the main rear camera with ultra wideness.
As for the third rear camera which is a 5 MP lens, it assists with the depth of pictures.
The fourth rear camera is also a 5 MP lens, assisting with macro pictures.
The cameras on Galaxy M51 are among the top-selling points of the phone. The device comes with four rear cameras, with the Samsung Bright S5KGW1 being the main rear camera.
While the rear side of the M51 features a total of four rear cameras, the front of the phone comes with just one camera.
And this front camera is the Sony IMX616. The Sony IMX616 is a pretty enhanced CMOS lens.
It’s also one of the best selfies cameras I’ve seen. So I doubt you won’t also be impressed with the pictures taken by this lens.
5G support has now become a major thing taking into consideration, by especially people buying Samsung devices. And while a good number of Samsung products support this technology, the Galaxy M51 is not one of them.
In other words, if you’ll be using this product for over 3 years or you will be travelling to a developed country, within the next 3 years, you may want to consider another product.
However, while the product lacks 5G support, it has excellent 4G support. I was able to test the device with the 4G network of major 4G mobile network operators in Nigeria, and it worked excellently with them.
This battery is powerful and awesome. With a 7,000mAh typically. The battery with a great technology with an ablity 25W of Super Fast Charging. This battery capacity is able to sustain it user for about 29hours of gaming and internet browsing.
